Sister sizing is a group of bra sizes that have the same cup volume; you go up a cup size and down a band size or vice versa. So, for example, if a bra feels too loose but you want to keep the same cup size, try a 32D instead of a 34C. If a bra feels too tight but you want to keep the same cup size, try a 36B instead of a 34C.

How to Measure Yourself

STEP 1 - MEASURE YOUR UNDER BUST

Wearing a non padded bra, use a tape measure placed under the bust to measure your size in cms. Ensure the tape measure is level and parallel and note your measurement at the tightest point.

STEP 2 - MEASURE YOUR ON BUST

Reposition the tape measure at the back of your bra and measure the circumference of your bust. Bring the tape measure around to the front of your bust. Keep the tape measure loose and make a note of your measurement.

STEP 3 - FIND YOUR SIZE

On the Size Guide, find your Under Bust measurement on the top row of the table, slide down in the same column to the cup section and find your On Bust measurement. This will provide you with your I.D Sarrieri size.

How should a bra fit correctly?

A bra that fits correctly will be comfortable. You won’t be able to feel the hook and eye, nothing will dig in or scratch, and the straps won’t slip off.

The bra’s cups will fit the shape of your breast — no gap and no spilling over the top or to the side.

The straps will sit snuggly on your shoulders without digging in or falling off. Of course, you can adjust the straps to fit better, but if adjusting doesn’t help, then the band size is likely wrong.

If your boobs are slipping out from underneath the band, you need a smaller band size. Or, if the band is riding up your back it’s too loose, so you should try a looser hook or a smaller band size.

Sister size is a size where the cup volume stays the same despite the band and cup number changing

This is why if for example your bra size is 34C but it is out of stock you could try a 32D or 36B as the cup is made from the same size patterns pieces and uses the same size bra wires – it is just the band which is a different length.

As the bra will have 3 rows of hooks and eyes on the end of the band it can often work on the tightest if you size up or on the loosest or with a bra extender if you size down.

Don’t go up or down more than one either side though as then the band would be too tight or loose.

Knowing your TRUE SIZE is the FIRST STEP to feeling confident, comfortable and supported in your lingerie.

We recommend a professional fitting every six months to a year.

Your Band Size:

Wrap a measuring tape snuggly around you under your breasts. Be sure to keep the measuring tape at the same level in front & back.

Your Cup Size:

While wearing a bra (not a push-up), wrap the measuring tape around you in line with the fullest point of your breasts.

Lingerie Care

Lingerie can be a tricky thing to care for, especially when dealing with fine craftsmanship, luxurious bras, or high-quality materials that can’t wash with other garments.

Do’s:

When in doubt, hand wash with warm, not hot, water.
Dry naturally - hang up gently to avoid wrinkles.
Use a small amount of Soak Wash soap and gently massage your lingerie. No rinse necessary (Soak samples included with every online purchase). Click the link to view our Soak Wash products available for purchase.
Use a reusable laundry bag to keep your undergarments separate from other dirty garments. Click the link to view laundry bags available for purchase.
For loungewear, lay flat or hang gently to dry.
For loungewear, machine wash on warm, gentle settings. Hand wash advised.
For 100% silk products, dry clean, cold wash, and ironing ok. Handwashing may change the luster of silk.

Dont's:

Wash your lingerie in a washing machine. This can damage the materials, colors, embroideries, or cause harmful rips.
Tumble dry. Lingerie should always dry naturally and be hung up carefully away from other garments.
Iron.
Dry clean.
Bleach.
